Women & Weight Loss
According to 2009 CDC statistics, only Colorado and D.C. had a prevalence of obesity less than
20% in the United States. Thirty-three states had a prevalence of obesity over 25%, and nine of
those had prevalence over 30%. The trends themselves seem to be packing the pounds, and since
1985 the number of obesity cases has grown explosively to-date. Of course, the commonly
known “key” to dropping the pounds is eat less, exercise more. However, as a recent article on
CNN indicates, it isn’t always as simple as you might hope.
With women in particular, the task of losing weight can become extremely frustrating when
weight loss attempts are met with only mediocre results due to a variety of disorders. One
method some women are turning to in particular to lose weight is hCG (Human Chorionic
Gonadotropin) Dieting, which has extremely high success rates despite prior weight loss
problems. Here are some of the common issues proposed by the article, and how hCG helps
overcome those challenges.
Sluggish Thyroid (Hypothyroidism):
A sluggish thyroid can be detrimental to weight loss because it slows down the metabolic rate in
the body, inhibiting its ability to burn fat quickly. With conventional dieting methods, this can be
very frustrating since even extremely low calorie diets are usually ineffective in helping shed the
pounds quickly. HCG is a hormone which works in correlation with a very low calorie diet
(VLCD) by telling your body it must use primarily fat as an energy source. It does this by
helping reset metabolism in your body and increasing the metabolism of fat emulsions (making
available available to peripheral tissues).
Out-of-Whack Hormones (Hormonal Imbalances):
Hormones are powerful messengers which help facilitate a variety of processes in the
body. When hormones become imbalanced or “out-of-whack,” they can lead to a number of
problems, including weight gain. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a relatively common condition
which causes an overproduction of male hormones in the body and is possibly linked to insulin
resistance, causing weight gain. HCG is often used to treat PCOS (especially infertility problems)
and is effective in these situations because it specifically calls for the usage of this fat as an
energy source. Although this won’t help with insulin resistance directly, it can help treat its
weight gain symptoms.
Trouble-Making Foods (Food Intolerance):
In most cases, allergies to certain foods are apparent and can be recognized easily. However,
food intolerance is not always as easily recognizable and can cause symptoms such as water-
weight gain. HCG works around this problem by offering you a more customizable diet plan
which can be adjusted to suit your needs. Because it’s a low calorie diet, it also limits the amount
of food which may possibly stimulate water retention and helps you burn fat, never muscle.
Pills Which Cause Weight Gain:
Some medication, such as antidepressants and birth-control pills, can lead to weight gain while
being taken. Usually these effects are noticed fairly soon after the drug is initially
administered. Because hCG is a hormone which helps reset metabolism and tells the body to
burn fat under low calorie conditions, it can helps you lose the weight brought about by different
drugs quickly and effectively. In addition, hCG has few, if any, drug interactions making it safe
for use with most medicines on the market today (however, a physician consult is still required).
